Viv and I went to see Charlie St. Cloud screening that was sponsored by the Dolly and Cleo mags tonight at Event Cinema after work. Zefron wasn't there to welcome us sadly but we did get a goodie bag filled with useful stuff if you're a teenage girl (which is the main target audiences for the movie). Dry shampoo, toothpaste, mascara, wallet, mags etc.
Tash asked me to give her the tampon if they had one but sadly they didn't give that out in the bag, so no tampon for you Tashie!
On top of that, we also got free soft drinks and popcorn and a mini fashion show before the movie start. The movie itself is actually quite good. Awesome if you're a big Zefron fans like myself. I think he's a really good actor, he's got a special charm and gentleness that works really well for this kind of movie.

In my opinion, the most annoying part of the movie is the trailer. Whoever did the cutting for the trailer should be fired because they show and tell the whole story of the movie there.
I know it's based on a book but I think you should keep some elements of suprise in the movie for the people who haven't read it. In saying that, I stil give it 3 and a half out of 5 stars.

It's been a super duper busy couple of weeks for me, with the crazy deadline and all. We had been staying back at the office every day until midnight this week. My body feels so tired and thank gawd we finally finished the whole design part yesterday. I don't envy the subbed dept at all because they still have a long way to go.
The Disney peeps got invited to the Camp Rock 2 Australian premiere and they invited me to come along. Free food and drinks after the deadline from hell? Hell yea! It was held at Deckhouse in Woolwich and we were supposed to take the free ferry ride from Darling Harbour, but since Klai is bringing Phoebs along, we drove there instead.
The Disney channel goes all out with the location' decor, entertainment for the kids and the place. The deckhouse is a really nice place and we all had never been to this area before. Lots of kids with their parents come as expected and once we all had the nibbles and drinks, they start playing the movie. We obvs didn't come there for the movie haha, I haven't even seen the first one yet, so we all just hung around out at the back waiting for more food to come. The food were quite nice Btw. Peking duck crepes, hot dogs, satay chicken, macaroon and champagne wit OJ for me.
We hung out for a while there then we left at around 9 ish. They gave us a goodie bag filled with Disney channel merchandise. I was half expecting them to give us the first movie DVD so at least I know what the movie is all about but nope, it's wasn't there. Oh well, I think I'm gonna give my goodie bags to one of the girls who has a kid at work coz I don't think I have any use of it. It was a really fun, relaxing night catching up with my old Disney peeps and a perfect way to end this stressful week.x

I went to Broadway tonight with David to see Brothers, Its a war theme movie starring Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman. I really really like the movie, It's really sad and thought provoking and the 3 main actors gave excellent performances. I gave it 4 out of 5

I went to the screening of She's Out of My League with Joel tonight, it's a romantic comedy about this girl who everyone thinks is a perfect 10, she falls in love with an average guy. It's an alright movie, lots of funny bits, I gave it 3 out of 5.
After that, we had dinner at Sushi train and here's a pic from the Timezone nearby.

I haven't seen Phil in ages, so we caught up today to see A Single Man in Broadway. It's a movie starring Colin Firth and Nicholas Hoult, directed and produced by Tom Ford. I really really love the movie. It's about this man whose planning to end his life because his younger long term partner has died in car accident. It's very artistic, visually and Colin Firth is amazing. He looked so much diff from his other movies that I've seen him in. I kept on studying his face wondering whether or not he had work done because he just looked really good. It's a minimalist and stylist movie, much like Tom Ford's design. I gave it 4 and half out of 5.

I caught up with Luke after work to see The Green Zone starring Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear... Hmm, 2 Greg Kinnear's movie in a row, he's been busy. It's a war /action movie about a soldier in Iraq who stumbled upon some goverment cover up about weapons of mass destruction. It's an alright movie I guess, but seeing this so soon after I saw The Hurt Locker, makes the movie less interesting. I gave it 3 out of 5.
Caught up with David for dinner after. I had a sudden craving of KFC, so we went to get some wicked wings...yumm:P
And here's the pic of me, Dem and Glambert that the publicist finally sent to me. He's so frickin' tall!!! Luv it:)

Me and Matt went to The Last Song screening at Sony Theaterette straight after work It's another Nicholas Sparks movie starring tween idol Miley Cyrus and newcomer Liam Hemsworth. If you've ever seen any of his novels turned movies before then you're gonna be familiar with the plotline. Its almost the exact carbon copy with the others. White house, cancer, letters. Yepp, all there. Dude needs to go away and find some new material to write about instead of keep recycling the same material again and again.
What's more shocking about this movie is actually Miley's lips. It's the most overworked pout in the business after Keira Knightleys. Way too many close-ups of her pouting and making duckface, it turned the movie into comedy. It's def far from sexy let me tell you. I give this movie 3 out of 5, 2 alone are for her lips' acting ability.
That's Matt in Central station waiting for his train doing his best Miley's duckface impersonation.

Seeing Dear John tonight with who else? John of course hahaha yea, that's just a pure coincidence:) It's a movie based on Nicholas Sparks' tear jerker novel starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. I'm always a big fan of Nicholas Sparks since The Notebook, but lately all his stuff are kinda the same. Kissing in the rain, horses, cancer, love letters, its becoming really predictable now and same goes for this movie. Channing and Amanda are gorgeous together, but the story is just...meh, like can it get anymore predictable? I still almost cried watching the scene where he read the letter from himself to his dad though.
I gave it 3 and a half out of 5 and thats largerly because Channing looks good in his surfing scenes:)
John suddenly became camera shy so all I can take pic of is just his back. If you wondering what the front part looked like, google Michael Pitt, because that is his doppleganger:P

Alice In Wonderland 3D screening at Imax today. YAYY!! I've been waiting to see this movie for ages, and finally got the screening for it. Saw it with Matt after work and I loved it:) I think Helena Bonham-Carter stole the movie as The Red Queen, she's just so hilariously funny to watch and so is Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. I'd much prefer to see it in a normal cinema screen though, because Imax is just way too big and we sat right on the side. I gave it 4 out 5 and I would def see it again soon:)

Another day, another Robert Pattinson movie. I'm not even that a huge fan of him. He sort of acts kind of the same in every movie. Anyway, I'm not complaining because it's a free screening hahaha. Remember Me is a romantic drama about how this moody rich guy meets a girl and both have a history of losing someone they loved in the past. It's kinda boring and dragging on and on and I'm not feeling the girlfriend character played by Emilie de Ravin. Robert of course playing this rich kid whose just sulking in most scenes, not stretching his acting muscles here obviously. The OK part about this movie is the twist near the end of the movie. I gave it 2 and a half out of 5.
I also had yum cha for lunch with Tash and Klai in Pitt St. I don't remember the name of the restaurant but it's the one that Karen had her wedding reception at a couple yrs ago. Food was yummy as usual:)

I went to Newtown to see Little Ashes with Joel at Dendy. It's a movie about the life and loves of Salvadore Dali starring Robert Pattinson as Dali himself. Dali obviously battling demons within himself so it's not exactly a romantic happy ending love story. I'm not sure what Federico sees in him actually, coz Dalis character isn't that likeable at all. Anyway, I gave it 3 out of 5.

Last day of Boot camp...YAYY!! my body was in so much pain this week. There were times where I couldn't even bend over or walk up the stairs. It's insane! I guess no pain no gain ay. That's me and Alice there before we started the last training.
After work I caught up with David to see this chinese movie at George st cinema, All's Well That Ends Well 2010. Its alright, kinda silly actually. Not as funny as it used to be. I watched it because its kind of a tradition to watch this movie during chinese new year's time. I gave it 2 and a half out of 5.

Me and David went to see Percy Jackson and the lightning thief at George St cinema after work. Its a movie based on a children's book along the line of Harry Potter. It was alright. I quite enjoyed it even though it's not as good as Harry. The main guy looks like a younger version of Chace Crawford. I gave it 3 and a half out of 5.
After the movie, we went to eat at the Sushi Train in the cinema complex, hence the picture of the sushi plates.

It's Celine Dion's movie day today, so excited!! Adam picked me up from work and we went to Bondi junction to see the movie. Gold class screening naturally, only the best for Celine and we ordered the seafood platter to eat during the screening. The movie is a behind-the-scenes look of her world tour in 2008-2009, with a couple of live performances of her hit songs. You learnt so much about her and her family, esp.her son in the movie. She's very down to earth and always polite to everyone. Its a truly enjoyable movie and I will def see it again next time. I gave it 5 out 5!:P
Also, Adam recliner seat is broken, and instead of moving us to the next seat, they gave us 2 complimentary ticket for another gold class screening. Score!! that basically mean we watched this movie for free:)
If you are wondering what that glass thing in the picture is, that's the original piece of stage flooring from her Las Vegas concert that my flatmate bought off the net. We went to Vegas a cpl yrs ago to see the show and he wanted something to remeber it by. Instead of buying the concert Dvd like normal person, he bought a chunk of the stage floor:P

After that, we went to Delima for dinner. Its pouring on the way there, so we ran like crazies. We were so drenched by the time we got there. The weathers been really bad lately. Luckily, the food was great as usual. It was a really fun day, spending chinese new year and valentine's with my friends. I'm so lucky to have them all:)

Caught up with David today for our shopping excursion to Westfield Bondi. He needs to buy a couple of things for his trip to the Phillipines at the end of this month. I didn't buy anything, but it's still fun nevertherless. Before that, we had lunch at Ichiban Boshi. That's David there with his lunch:P
Got back home and was going to take a shower, but there's no hot water. Apparently our hot water tower or whatever that is got hit by lightning last nite. Yea of course! anyway, it won't be fixed until monday. Unbelieveable! so I went back to David's place, since he's my neighbour and took a shower there.
After that we watched The Blind Side on Dvd starring Sandra Bullock. I saw bit of it a couple of weeks ago and I fell asleep. It's a true story about Michael Oher, a homeless black kid who met this rich white family and they make him as part of the family. He then continues on to became a successful american football player. The movie is very inspiring even though some parts are just way to good to be true, but it actually happened. You really end up rooting for him at the end of the movie. Sandra Bullock is quite good in her Erin Brockovich get-up. She got an Academy award nomination for this role and I really hope she gets it! It's about time! I give the movie 4 and a half out of 5.

That's me crashing Disney Girl shoot in the studio. I don't know what the theme is, but its look like Alice In wonderland tea party. I wish I can eat all the cookies and cupcakes and not put on weight. Got a bit of a shock when I came to the office and hopped onto the scales. According to it, I put on 5 kg since last week. That can't be right. Luckily, Alicia told me that the scales are broken. Phew! Stil, I don't wanna take any chances!
After work, I caught up with Tash to see advanced screening of Shutter Island. It's a thriller movie by Martin Scorcese starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Michelle Williams. Since we already promised not to put any review before the embargo date, I'm not gonna write anything about this movie hahaha.

I met up with Matt after work and we both headed to George st cinema for the advance screening of The Rebound. It's a romantic comedy starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha. She's playing a recently single mum who hook ups with a much younger guy. It's an alright movie. It has its funny moments. The most impressive thing about the movie is how tight CZJ's skin is. Like seriously, Theres not even a slightest wrinkle when she tried to move her face and show emotions. I gave the movie 3 out of 5 and 5 out of 5 for CZJ's plastic surgeon. x

It's been raining nonstop since last nite and I don't think it will stop anytime soon, so I just stayed at home today. Finishing up Kyle XY dvds and also watched Sandra Bullock's movie All about Steve. It's about this crazy crossword-maker hyper girl who stalked the boy she just met all the way across the country.
The review for this movie is really bad, but I actually find the movie quite funny. I think it's because I've been a huge fan of Sandy ever since I saw her in Speed and I watched all her movies even the crappy ones. Gun Shy and Two if by the sea anyone? My fave movie of her would be While you were sleeping. I watched that movie so many times and I never get bored of it. I just find her so easygoing and likeable and I think that's why I can tolerate her character in this movie. I give the movie 3 out of 5:)

Tans invited me along to see advance screening of Valentine's day movie after work. The movie is basically American's version of Love Actually, with lots of stories and characters interlaping in just one day. It starred who's who in Hollywood. From Anne Hathaway to Taylor Swift. Of course with a title like that, the movie bound to be cheesy. Some actors fare well than others, like Jessica Biel who is suprisingly really good in her role. It's def a non thinking movie. I gave it 3 out of 5.
