The circus itself was fun. Lots of amazing acrobats, daredevil motorbikes and other stunts. They only have ponies for the animal attractions and they're really really cute. It makes me want to have one too hahaha. It's a great show for a family, something different to do and we all enjoyed the show, you guys should deff check it out. For more information about where they're playing, visit their website: http://www.moscowcircus.com.au/

The show itself was really fun, flamboyant and a bit theatrical with over the top costumes, but I think the real reason people went there is to listen to his amazing voice and he didn't dissappoint. He played almost every songs from his debut album, For Your Entertaiment. The only downside is that he didn't sing songs that I actually love from the album, such as; Pick You Up, Time for Miracles and No Boundaries (I know that No Boundaries isn't his song but his version is so much better than Kris Allen's). He also didn't sang Mad World, a song that he actually famous for when he did Idol. Other than that, it was a really entertaining concert and we all had a blast. Hopefully he releases another album soon, that way he can have a longer set list and bigger budget for the concert.

Whataya know, both of them got sent free tix. Way too many actually, so we invited Yaz and Jenks to come along. It was a really fun night! We were sitting 8th row from the front and her voice was amazing. We sang along loudly to every song hahaha
The not-so-fun bit was catching the bus front and back to the stadium from Lidcombe station because there's no train going to Olympic station. Cityrail fail!

I went to see Mamma Mia! the musical tonight at Lyric theatre at Star city with Adam. It was a great show. We were seated second row from the front, so it was good, even though it's a bit akward at times since it's THAT close to the actors. Just try not to make eye contact with them hahaha.
I've seen the movie many times before and I wish I'd seen the musical first before the movie, because when I watched this, I can't help but comparing it to what's in the movie and Meryl Streep is hard to beat. Still, it was a solid performance from the cast and there are a few songs and scenes that they didn't put in the movie. You can't help to singalong to some/most of the songs and all the audience seemed to have great fun. Thumbs up from me:)

Me, Klai and Tash went to Zilver in chinatown for yum cha lunch. I've never eaten there before but boy, am so gonna come back again! The food was good and we definitely got the best table - right beside the kitchen. The food trolley kept on coming every 5 seconds when we hadn't even had time to eat the one on our table yet. Was soo full by the end of it! :)
Then after work, I went to Newtown to see MIKA with Dem and her friend Vicky. He's playing at Enmore theatre. Before I met Dem, I tried to go to my friend's place. The missing friend. No-one is there. Tried to peek from the toilet, theres sandals and soaps and when I tried to look from the kitchen I could see that there's bread on the table. It's not mouldy at all, so someone must be there recently. I left a note under the door before I left, asking anyone whose there to give me a ring. Hopefully someone will ring me.
Back to Enmore theatre, when we got inside something smelt really bad. We thought it was the carpet, or maybe the smoke from the smoke machine. Me and Dem even sniffed the wall trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. Trust me, it was really bad. After a while, the woman beside Dem started talking to her, I had to do a double-take on her face, and I kid you not, this woman had a full on beard with a moustache. She can deff be the face of the Movember.
We then realised that the smell was actually coming from her!! so we moved to the other side of the room 'cause it was really bad. I was so tempted to take a pic of her, we were all wondering how the hell she can afford $90 tix to see MIKA when she can't even afford to buy deodorant or a razor.
Anyhoo, back to MIKA, the concert was really good. The vibe in the room was just pure joy and fun, and he's obviously having a ball too. I saw him 3 years ago when he played at Fox studio and I actually prefered that concert back then, I dunno why, but this one is still good nevertherless. His support band are awesome and he didn't do any covers at all, maybe because he's got enough original material now to do a 2 hour live show. Fun time for everyone :)

After months and months of waiting, it's finally here! Me and the girls from work went to Acer Arena to see Brit Brit Circus's concert. OMG! The male to female audiences ratio is like 1:10. All the girls are dressing up wearing short dresses and killer high heels. It's like they're all trying to auditions for ANTM.
We got amazing seats, and the concert itself was good. She had lots of amazing dancers on the stage, I thinks it's to cover up the fact that she's mostly just running around from one end to another, and of course, she's miming the whole thing. I don't mind that part, but I wished that she would at least interact more with the audience and talk more. It feels like she's on auto-pilot sometimes, She's the master in hair flicking thou. I still enjoyed it nevertherless. But she's definitely not all there yet. Keep improving Brit, we all love you!

Me and Yas with the merchandise stand in the background, I ended up buying the program.
And here's me and Val who I bumped into while queueing for drinks. We go all the way back from my Total Girl time. We used to sit beside each other so it was nice to finally catch up with her again.

I went to see Avenue Q today with Adam at the Theatre Royal in Kent St. It's a musical about the lives of people and monsters who live in this fictional street called Avenue Q. It's kind of a spoof of Sesame Street. The show itself was funny, raunchy (definitely not for kids) and all the actors were very talented. I was going to see the show back in 2006 when I was in New York, but we couldn't get cheap tickets, so I finally see it in Sydney 3 years later! Highly recommended btw, 4 out of 5:)
After that, we went to see Funny People in the cinema. It's a Judd Apatow movie, starring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen (who's obviously losing lots of weights for his upcoming role in Green Hornet) and Leslie Mann. The movie is about this movie star who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and so he starts getting in touch with people from his past and trying to make new friends to get over his feeling of loneliness. Its an alright movie, with lots of cameos from famous people, such as Eminem and Ray Romano, but with 2 and half hours running time, I found the movie way too long and lacking in parts that were funny. You could tell a lot of the audience were feeling a bit bored and restless. I give it 2 and a half out of 5.
We had dinner at Delima after the movie. It's an Indonesian Restaurant in Dixon st. Great food there btw. Been there couple of times already:)
Moving on to the next subject hahaha, what the hell is going on with the weather in Sydney??! Raining and windy non-stop since yesterday and this afternoon too. Hopefully it'll get better by tomorrow.

I went to Broadway for lunch today - yeah, Broadway!! Tash wanted to check out the Sportsgirl shop there and I didn't have anything planned for lunch so I accompanied her. It doesn't actually take long to get there by bus. It was quite fun, a break from the normal Chinese takeaway near work. After work we went to see Beyoncé in concert at Acer arena. By we I mean Tash, me, Ewan and Dean. Before that, Tash and I had dinner at a Thai restaurant in Capitol Square. Pad Sew Yew duck.. yummyyyyyyy :)
Bumped into Rach and Demeter at the concert. Well, Dem was sitting behind us with her friends. The concert itself was nothing short of amazing. She worked her ass off and her voice, arghh... perfection :) Especially when she sang Ave Maria. Great costumes too and super hot backup dancers hahaha:P
The highlight of the concert was the last song when she pulled this sweet little girl (Chelsea) who's battling cancer and dedicated the song Halo for her. Most of the audience was in tears. It was really sweet of her to do that and I truly hope that the little girl wins her fight with cancer.
After the concert we headed out to the city for a bit of clubbing where I caught up with Adrian, Raffi, and James. My feet were almost killing me by then and we didn't stay out too late. Was a really superb nite :)
