Me and David went shopping at Westfield Chatswood and I got myself a shirt and a FCUK bag. I just can't help buying a new bag even though I already have at least 10 bags at home. Bags and watches are my weakness:P. After that, we went to see my friend Stephen's reopening of his and his partner, Sandra's photographic lab after their recent renovations. It's located in Lane Cove and it's nice to see how and where he does his printing work. Their lab equipments must cost them a fortune. Congrats to both of them!

Day 173 - The Blind Side

Caught up with David today for our shopping excursion to Westfield Bondi. He needs to buy a couple of things for his trip to the Phillipines at the end of this month. I didn't buy anything, but it's still fun nevertherless. Before that, we had lunch at Ichiban Boshi. That's David there with his lunch:P

Got back home and was going to take a shower, but there's no hot water. Apparently our hot water tower or whatever that is got hit by lightning last nite. Yea of course! anyway, it won't be fixed until monday. Unbelieveable! so I went back to David's place, since he's my neighbour and took a shower there.

After that we watched The Blind Side on Dvd starring Sandra Bullock. I saw bit of it a couple of weeks ago and I fell asleep. It's a true story about Michael Oher, a homeless black kid who met this rich white family and they make him as part of the family. He then continues on to became a successful american football player. The movie is very inspiring even though some parts are just way to good to be true, but it actually happened. You really end up rooting for him at the end of the movie. Sandra Bullock is quite good in her Erin Brockovich get-up. She got an Academy award nomination for this role and I really hope she gets it! It's about time! I give the movie 4 and a half out of 5.

Day 171 - Shopping nite

I got all these gift vouchers for X'mas and my farewell and I haven't had the time to use them, so tonight after work, Adam and I went to Westfield Eastgardens to look around the shop. Found a buttoned shirt from YD and 2 t-shirts from Myers. I didn't end up using them all though. Can't find anything else that I like/fit me. Oh well, I'll save it for next time.

Sunday, November 8, 2009

Didn't do much today, just watched some stuff that I had TIVOed during the week and then went to work for a bit. I thought I was gonna be by myself there, but Jenks was there too. Yay, company:)
Before that I went to the new JB HIFI that's just opened at World Square, across the street from my building. Gosh, it's dangerous hanging out there for too long. You just want to buy everything:P. I got myself the new MIKA cd and Glee soundtracks :)

So for today's post, I took pics of me with my glasses. I have lots of glasses... sunnies as well as clear ones. I don't wear them often, and I don't even actually need normal glasses since I had lasik a couple of years ago (totally recommended Btw, fast, painless, and the result is amazing).
I just like getting them and wear them once in a while, I think it makes me look a bit smarter. Yeaaa, shuddup guys:P

Day 65 - Pop swatch

Remember this?? It's the pop swatch, it used to be huge in the 90's. Every kid want one. I bought this one from E-Bay courtesy of Tans, and it finally arrived today. Yay!!
I already have a cpl of watches at home that I rarely wear. I just like buying them hahaha, sometimes it's a hassle to put on a watch, besides, you can always look at ur cell phone for time:P

Day 48 - Op shops

I went to Newtown today to look for 90's theme clothes for Jenks' party this upcoming Sat. There’s a couple of op shops in Newtown so I thought I could find 90s clothes easily. WRONG!!! I spent ages running through racks and racks of old daggy bogan clothing and nothing really screams 90s. They're more suburban 80's clothes. Lots of ugly vests. The whole thing just screams Ugly Betty to me.

After I got back home, I realised I forgot to take a pic of the shops. So, am just gonna give you this: pic of my 90's cassette collections hahahaha. Lots of NKOTB, Debbie Gibson and boys/girlsband. Still love them after all these years. On the subject of boybands, R.I.P Stephen Gately from Boyzone. It was such a huge shock to find out that he died today as he's only 33 yrs old. Your music will live on forever Stephen...

Day 31 - Penny the pig

I went to Eastgardens tonight for late night shopping and dinner. Was fun, got a shirt for myself from YD which I intend to wear tomorrow night. I also got this small toy of Penny the pig. According to her tag she's a libra and her special ability is to perform rain dances. awwww :)) soo cute :)

They have different figurines at the shop and it took me ages just to choose one. So many that I want :P Next time! That's Penny at the car park in the picture.

P.S: Red Bulls are back!! hahaha. Finally drank my first one yesterday. Tash knows someone who works at Red Bulls office and she got lots for free. Theres 4 in my drawers ATM, and she's gonna bring more next time YAYYY!! got my wings back:P

Day 13 - Idol nite

Golly gosh, It's Sunday already!!
Went to Westfield Bondi Junction for brunch and to look at presents for my dad. He's so hard to shop for coz he's not interested in anything and everytime I asked him what he wants he always says nothing - grrr. I ended up getting him a box of hankies :P
We also had Max Brenner again, the 3rd time in 2 weeks. Yes, I'm a hardcore addict!

After that, I went to Epping to see my cousins and auntie. I gave her some stuff to take back home to Jakarta for my parents. Her kids are so shy around me, it's probably because I don't often visit her.

Went back home to meet David for our first Idol night. David lives 5 mins away from my place. He's my WILL to me GRACE. I always go to his place to hang out and whinge about everything and he would patiently listen (or pretend to listen :P) while playing his favourite tragic, sad music on iTunes. Kate Miller-Heidke is on the top of the list right now (hate that song! Makes me wanna slit my wrists)
We are stil looking for our own Jack and Karen Walker BTW, so if anyone's interested do send us your resume :P

We grabbed a takeaway dinner from the nearby Chinese restaurant and I got the Idol time wrong. I thought it was supposed to start at 7.30 but it actually started at 6.30, so we missed an hour of the show. Damn you TV Guide!

Went to catch up with Glen tonite for a coffee, well it's more like a milkshake and 2 donuts from Krispi Kreme, haven't had them in ages....yuummmmm:)

Since I'm already in the city, I went to General Pants to get new thongs (footwear not undies!). Trish gave me a Havaianas christmas gift voucher, it's August now, and I finally had the chance to use it, thanks Trish:)
I also bought the Little Britain USA dvd from JB, love, love, love LB, can't wait to watch them tmrw nite.

1 more sleep til weekend...YAYYYYY!!!

oh, I stole this quote from my friend facebook status, and I think it's nice to share it with everyone:

"Life is too short for being upset on things, better put on a smile, head up high, and walk the earth with love"
