We finally made it to 2010! I haven't make any NY resolutions yet, I think I'm just gonna stay with the basics, like stay fit and healthy, be nicer to people (zip it!) and try to get to work on time (yea, so NOT gonna happen:P)Anyhoo, We went for lunch at my uncle's house. Its 5 storey house where my uncle and aunt lives with their son, his wife and their kids and gazillion maids. Their house is practically a private Sea World. As you can see from these pictures, they got lots of huge aquariums inside the house, filled with expensive tropical fish. You name it, they got it. They even got the touch and feel area and in case fish isn't your thing, they've got a private cinema on the top floor with a fully stocked bar. I wouldn't even leave the place at all if this was my house:P
We then all went to Grand Indonesia Mall (which is now practically my second house during this holiday) for dinner with a few of my cousins, nephews and nieces. They're all from my dad's side. We went to this chinese restaurant on level 5. There's soo many kids in our family, all the screaming and running around was driving me mental. Luckily I only get to see them once every 2 years hahaha. I haven't seen the twins before though. They're really cute and adorable and you deff can see the diff, not because one is a boy and one is a girl but they also don't look similar.

Today is the last day of 2009! Gosh, can't believe its already end of the year. Looking back, theres been a few highs and lows. I think I achieved quite a lot this year, but on the other hand, theres so much stuff that I still havent got around to. Some of the 2009 highlights are travelling to Fiji, going back home again after 2 years and a new job thats gonna start next year. I think 2009 is quite a good year for me but lets hoping for a better 2010:)
I caught up with Wadam this arvo at Taman Anggrek Mall again to see Sherlock Holmes. Elice was supposed to join us but we couldn't get tickets for the early screening and she can't make it for the later one, so its just gonna be me and Wadam. The movie itself was quite alrite, Me and Wadam found the first part a bit boring and we kept on nodding off. The freezing aircon right on top of us didn't help either. In short, its basically CSI: 18th century London. I'm not feeling Robert Downey and Jude Law as Holmes and Watson at all but at least the movie pick up the pace in the latter half. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. This is the picture of the ice skating rink thats located on the second top floor of the mall. I used to came here a lot when I was in high school. It used to be the coolest thing to do after school and me and my friends would just come to this mall, hang out, window shopping and skate. I'm an alright skater, but I wish i could do all those tricks and jumps.
After the movie, Wadam took me home so I can have dinner with my family. Its so nice to have dinner with just the 4 of us on the last day of the year because we don't do it often anymore. People around the neighborhood already started to put on some fireworks. There's no law about fireworks in Indonesia, so everyone can buy it and just play it on their backyard. We then just drove around the complex where I live and watch the fireworks.
Happy new year everyone! I wish you all the best in 2010. Keep on chasing your dreams!:)

So I stayed at work until 9pm today. Yeah, nine! on Friday night. So much for having an active social life! I don't mind staying back at work once in a while, especially when there’s a deadline looming. In this case, its next week. What’s really bugging me is that my stupid work computer keeps on failing when I try to output work to PDF. I spent almost an hour trying to PDF one page and it just wouldn’t print. Finally I gave up and I’ll just wait until Monday to try it again or use someone else’s computer. Don't you just hate it when that happens? ARGHH!!! coorperate with me, u damn computer!

They're all in Hong kong right now actually with some of my uncles and aunties, having a big family holiday. Yeah, having fun while I'm slaving away at work!! They're going to spend a couple of days in Hong Kong, then to china to visit my grandparents' hometown.
They asked me whether I want to join them, but I passed it up. I Don't think that spending my holiday with all my uncles, aunties, and cousins is a perfect holiday for me. Too many people and it’s probably gonna end up in tears LOL.

Delon is my dog back in Jkt, He passed away today:( Even though I don't go back home that often, I still feel really upset and sad about it. He was a great dog, really protective and had been through a lot. He was bitten by this massive dog a couple of years ago and almost died. He got lots of stitches around his neck as a result of that. It was a miracle he can survive that but not ticks? ARGHHH!!! makes me angry!! He wasn't that old either, around 7 years old, we named him after the first Indonesian Idol runner-up... I was looking forward to seeing him in 2 months, but obviously I won't now :( ...Rest in peace my dear dog.
I don't know what pic to take for today, so I just took this pic of my monchichi collection. I used to/still am a bit obssesed about monchichi. It's a japanese monkey character, and I find it really cute and adorable. The big one is from Josh (after I give him a not so subtle hint about it), the smaller size ones are from Glen:)

I went to Eastwood today for lunch with my aunty and cousin. The clever guy that I am, took the wrong train and ended up in Lidcombe. Yeah.... not trying out for Amazing Race anytime soon obviously. We had peking duck and fried pork for lunch (sorry Jay! I'm still gonna go to BBQ King with you btw:P)
Eastwood was such an eye-opener for me. It feels like going to foreign country... China to be exact. You can count white ppl with one hand. Everything is written in Chinese or some Asian language, and the whole place/market/mall is full of Asians. Its unbelievable!
After lunch, I went to Maroubra beach for some sun worshipping. It was actually really windy, not that hot at all. There was this gross couple who laid beside us, fully making out in front of everyone. By making out, I don't mean the PG rated one, but the R18 one! It was obvious what they were doing and they seemed to get a kick by doing it in front of people. The thing is, there were kids everywhere around them and no one bothered to come up to tell them off.
The picture above are my nieces. The older one is 7 and the other is 6. They're still really shy around me. Oh well, I'll bribe them with food next time:P
